The dancers went across to Islay for a dancing weekend, the dancing was good but there was much more whisky drinking and singing involved than actual dancing. Thanks to Luke for letting me borrow a couple of his photos for inclusion here! A great weekend, with many interesting photos!

This year we did the Cheshire Ring, going through Manchester, and yes the boat stayed in one piece! (Until Jon took the helm!) On the way back from the boatyard we stopped in Llangollen to go on the Railway, so there are some photos from the Llangollen Railway and the Ffestiniog Railway on the Sunday. To end the holiday we moved onto a faster form of transport!

I have now finished my degree in Ancient History at St. Andrews University. I live in St. Andrews but plan to move back to Dundee. I'm 22, (I know I'm getting old!) I love Scottish Country Dancing and am out at classes just about every night of the week. I'm class helper for one of the Dundee Branch children's classes, and I teach for the University of St. Andrews Celtic Society and also Dundee University Scottish Country Dance Society (DUSCDS).
During my holidays, if I'm not dancing, I like to go out hillwalking. Scotland is an amazing place for all kinds of walking, either low-level country walks, or high level walking up in the mountains. Needless to say, the views and photographs we can get from being out in the hills is just spectacular. When I'm not in the Scottish hills I'm in the Welsh countryside, volunteering on the Ffestiniog Railway. It's almost like being at home because to me, it's Scotland in miniature. Although they have stranger accents than mine!
